Put Solomon Islands in context of rural community development. Solomon Islands is a nation of villagers and villagers. That is to say that 80% of people identified themselves to have live or come from the village. The village is the only place that even if you live in the city or outside of the country one still identified to have come from and will always return to. Roughan (2000) was right to have said that to understand Solomon Islands one needs understand the village and the villager.
VdNet primary aim is to provide up-to-date news and happenings in villages and also provide resources that should enhance learning on how best to address some of the pressing issues in rural village communities.
